Commerce 1-2 3 handed bottom set/quads
Three handed, Bruce is btn, guy who's name I forgot is BB but has been getting kicked in the nuts all day and is playing very weak-tight.
Pre: BTN raise, Hero 3 bet SB w/33, BB cap, call, call. Flop: A63 two spades. Hero checks (?), BB checks, BTN bets, hero raises (?), BB 3 bets, BTN makes the "somebody's gonna cap it" speech and caps it. Turn: 7 spade. Hero leads, BB raises, BTN insta 3 bets, Hero calls, BB folds. River: 3. Hero bets? 3 easy questions: Lead flop or not, c/r flop or not, lead river or not, and why? I feel like I could have gotten a little more value out of the hand, but am unsure cause I'm getting at least 3 bets if I cracked a set on the river. Devo |

Re: Commerce 1-2 3 handed bottom set/quads
how could you have gotten more value? preflop was capped, flop was capped.. turn was 3 bets but you don't really want more going in given the board at the time, and on the river you have an easy lead. if someone has a set you might get 4 bets whether you checkraise or lead out, so the question is will a flush ever check this through? what about if there are two flushes out there? you'd think someone has to bet it but what can they beat. is the ace a spade? it's such a disaster to have this checked though, looks so baddddd

Re: Commerce 1-2 3 handed bottom set/quads
Obv flop and turn I got max value, I was more asking the semantics of leading vs. checking vs. various ranges at that point, combined with the leading of the river vs. c/r. I read the guy for having the flush, not the bigger set, and think I could've gotten a c/r out of him on river rather then just one bet.

Re: Commerce 1-2 3 handed bottom set/quads
Seems very likely he has flush already rather than a set on the turn (tough to 3 bet a set there w/o a flush). Also, it is not necessarily certain that you have a set on the turn. He is never raising your lead on the river with a flush, so c/r on the river seems right. Its seems extremely likely he has a flush, and he is definitely betting and paying off with his flush way more than 50%.
EDIT: Oh, and if he has a AA it is getting capped not matter what happens so you dont lose value... |

Re: Commerce 1-2 3 handed bottom set/quads
this hand is perfect. i would never lead that flop against these two players. the river is a bet against bruce, i think against most it is a checkraise

I'm not worried about a SF, but I guess it could be on this board. |
