This has been posted before, but yeah it is perhaps the single worst tournament article I've ever seen.

I tend to not agree with Mr. Caro here, though he did introduce a couple of concepts that I previously hadn't thought of.

In spirit, though, I agree with the way he approaches things. He's an unconventional thinker (to say the least!) and isn't held down by dogma. I always enjoy reading fresh points of view.

He comes off sounding like he has a chip on his shoulder about something or other, like everyone is taking over HIS game.

He also sounds like he is working for a casino. Who gives a crap whether the casino are losing money...i mean seriously. Online poker is the reason for the boom and popularity of tournament poker and if he was really smart, he would have benefitted hugely monetarily if he had taken advantage of players not properly understanding all the concepts and stages of a tournament.

Furthermore, the flatter payouts just mean you should adapt your game to the circumstances...tbh, i think he should stop whinging.
