If the angel protects someone other than me than there is a 23/25 chance his protection will be wasted which is -EV. If he protects me everyday there is a much better chance it wont be wasted. There is a 15/20 chance im a good guy so its the right call.

why would angel protect bobo who may be wolf? angel shouldn't be trying to stop vig kills..vig kills = lynches...higher lynch:eat ratio is better, so u want vig kills to go through

The angel obviously wants to protect against vig kills. Wolves may power villager hunt, and you can't protect power villagers from the wolf kills, so protecting them from vigilante kills (because power villagers are wolfy, so the story goes) is definitely good for the village.
