HU cash - theory post (raising more then 3x from button)

Hey guys, I am relativly new to headsup so still learning quite a bit.

Yesterday I ran into an opponent that pretty much called almost every time I opened 3x. I realize this is a pretty good scenario for me, but I was thinking it might be better if I instead opened 3.5x or 4x so that I might get some free money from more blinds steals while at the same time inflating the pot even more for him when he is OOP.

Also, I would have an easier time getting 100bb in against him with the slightly bigger initial pot. SINCE even POT pot pot doesn't get the opponent AI when I open 3x in a 100bb situation.

Any thoughts on this? Seems like a good idea to me .....
