Default Interesting 2/5 NL spot w/ top/bottom. Super deep.

This is an interesting hand I witnessed. 2/5 NL. Game is super live, players are very deep. UTG+3 (kind of spewy player, has his moments post flop 2.5kish deep)raises to 25. pretty much everyone between calls. cutoff(2.5kish) calls w/ Q2. Button calls. Blinds call.

Flop:
Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Everyone checks to cutoff, who bets 125. Button (weak tight, yet gets money in bad alot somehow) raises to 300ish. Everyone folds to UTG +3 who calls. Cutoff reraises 700 more. UTG3 hems and haws for about 2 min. says "this is sick" and flat calls.

Turn
8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG +3 checks. Cutoff moves in for 1.2k. UTG hems and haws for about 3min. and calls.

River
8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Thoughts on the cutoff's play on the turn? Reads on all in player? Reads on UTG +3? AS PLAYED any suggestions? (I told him later that calling w/ Q2 was horrible pf)

turn doesn't seem good against a competent player, but vs some monkey who will call off 500BBs in this spot with an overpair or TPTK I guess it's not awful if you really love to play variance wars.

Looks fine to me, aside from calling Q2 pre

You'd be surprised how easily people stack off with overpairs 500BB deep

I'm guessing all the calling action in front pre-flop leads to the Q2 call in late position...not that I like it. What more could he want from the flop? I'm figuring the button must have had AQ or KQ to make that flop raise and then muck to the re-raise. UTG+3 is either very lucky and donkish with an overpair / JT or very clever with 99.

Maybe he doesn't get stacked if he doesn't re-pop the flop raise by the button and keep the pot a bit smaller until the turn. If I'm interpreting the raises right, he could lead about $500 or ~ 1/2 pot on the turn and perhaps save about $1500 when counterfeited on the river. The 8 is a terrible turn card for his hand though and the river 8 is blatantly uglier.

Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. Looking forward to the results.
