This hand can actually be a reasonable line if...

1. Villain is known to get aggressive with his draws and strong made hands, but passive with his marginal, showdownable hands.
2. Villain is willing to 3-bet semibluff the turn with a strong draw/weaker 8.
3. Villain will never/rarely 3-bet bluff the river. ie. We aren't committed to showing down.

Waiting for a safe turn is a reasonable play depending on what else Moneymaker plays like this/history of villain showing down to turn raises. Anyone commenting that flop is an automatic reraise without context doesn't know what's going on.

More egregious that no one has pointed out that villain's non-river 3-bet.

I thought the only mistake in limit you could make was to fold, he didn't fold so it was played well by both

How can a mistake be made when all they are doing is flinging poo. I would think that the only mistake would be a stoppage of flinging the poo. He did not, so everything is fine.
