WPS Costa Rica Poker Showdown (Oct. 20 - 28)

I came down to Costa Rica 3 days ago for a 2 week vacation and didn't even know one of the biggest local tournament series was taking place. Here is a link of the series schedule. It concludes with a 3 day $2,500 buy-in Main Event which the organizers expect to have 200 runners. And, yes, "The Shark" is getting into town today. Any 2+2ers taking part? I would like to meet a few of you if you're playing.

Haha I played their tournament series in St. Maarten which promised to have tons of players in the main event...I think it got 40 or something.

They just purchased 25 new tables, over 200 new chairs and some sick new tournament chips which I saw last night. I think the poker scene + population in Costa Rica is stronger than St. Maarten. We'll see though ... 200 might be a pipe dream. I have no idea. They said that 2/5 and 5/10 cash games should begin this weekend so that is a start.

Keep your eyes open for our "buddies" from Absolute. I'd refuse any hole card cameras if they're around.
