Default Your Worst Poker Enemy

Has anybody read this? It's by Alan N. Schoonmaker. Here's a link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0818407...d=14LMTYOHX3S91

Is it a good/helpful book? I have a really big TILT problem and anything that will help with that is money well spent...

I read it and it gives the reader Dr. Al's solid no nonsence advice.

A good book to reread and ruminate on.

However IF you dont like looking deeply into your psyche dont bother because it might cause depression and a subsequent whiplash effect. ie . it might toss you deeper into the abyss of self loathing.

Just kidding Al!!

"The Poker Mindset" may help with your tilt problems as well. It is not a fun or easy read, much of it seems quite obvious, but it has helped me recognize some of my trouble spots.

I haven't read Poker Enemy yet. Poker Mindset is fairly obvious stuff, but the strength of the book is in simply presenting all the things you need to take into consideration in an organized fashion, which really helps you assimilate it and "live" it better than if they are just vague, disorganized notions floating around your head that you "know" you "ought to do".

What is obvious to a few is often an epiphany for many.

Not when it's already been published in the form of The Psychology of Poker, Inside the Poker Mind, and others.

I feel that 'Your Worst Poker Enemy' is a worthwhile read in addition to 'The Psychology of Poker.' The difference is that PoP primarily helps you analyze others, while YWPE helps you analyze yourself.
