Who's the most remarkable person you know of? Why?

I want to be remarkable. But I'm not. Not even close. I don't even know what it takes to be remarkable. But, starting tonight, I'm going to learn.

Who is the most remarkable person you know (or know of)? What makes them remarkable?

[please don't ask "what do you mean by remarkable?"...just use your own definition]

One can be remarkable in a number of ways. Many of them are bad. Try to avoid these.

Being remarkable in a good way is normally some weird combination of genes, talent, determination and luck. Some people are remarkable and nobody knows. Some people are only remarkable in some specific situation that they never find themselves in. You might be quite remarkable and not even know it.

Maybe not though.

Angelina Acheng Atyam, cofounder of the CPA and recipient of a UN human rights award for her work in bringing awareness to the situation in uganda/sudan with the Lord's Resistance Army and their slave army of kidnapped children.
