I think they still spread the 10-20, but the 15-30-45 was going all weekend when I was there. I sat like an hour and the game was good - I'm sure it would be a soft spot for you.

Casino Control does not permit draw games of any type. We learned this when speaking to the floor at Showboat a few months back.

Of course those rules have been broken on rare occasion when the biggest gamblers come to town, but its a rarity and at limits I cannot fathom.

afaik all lowball games are against the law in AC. something about the road gamblers sweeping into town, cleaning out the locals with their crooked lowball games and then taking off in the dead of the night.

I don't think this is true. Trop spread a 10-20 (I believe) draw game a number of years ago (someone will correct me if I'm wrong). I believe it is specifically Triple Draw that is not allowed - I'm sure it would be approved, just that no one has bothered to get it done.

Well, you play Omaha well IIRC. So, I guess I meant you, but anyone who plays decently should be a favorite against the lineup I played last week.

I would welcome a HORSE game in AC, but frankly, it would just be something I'd do for fun for a few hours. Don't expect to ever make much money in those games, since the real fish would likely never sit in them (with perhaps the exception of the very high limits)

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with this sentiment. Some of the players I play with in 10/20 limit have enough trouble figuring out the rules to Holdem. They would not want to switch games every half an hour.

I think the new room will spread what the market wants, 1/2 NL and 3/6 limit games like a previous poster said. What will be interesting to me is how much they go out of their way to get the higher limit Taj players to play in their room.

Certain games will NEVER be spread in a/c until they (c.c.c?) change the rules....games like RAZZ, lowball, triple draw are all on the banned list.

Do you have a copy of the banned list? I don't think you do, because Razz is spread as part of mixed games.

There is a common belief that a live straddle was against the rules at Casino Control. In reality its not against the rules per say, the poker room must include the option for a live straddle in the application to spread a game. Resorts allows a live straddle (as of last year, haven't been since), and the HOB confirmed that it is true (although they do not permit live straddling at HOB).

Back to Razz.... as long as the poker room submits an application to play the game and is approved, they can legally spread Razz.
