Default $16 bubble as CL

Villain is reasonably tight. With shorty at about 6x, does this still have FE? 4x BB raise seems kinda weak, and I may be ahead.

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t200 with t25 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t2585)
Button (t4130)
Hero (t5365)
BB (t1420)

Preflop: Hero is in SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Interesting spot with the stack size of the BB and the size of his raise. I would reraise and put him to the test. I guess this depends on your definition of "reasonably tight."

14/14 over a small sample 4 handed... I have HUD stats filtered for 9-7, 6-5, 4, 3, 2. Since I just got onto stars, I have come in readless into spots a lot of the time. Maybe I should change my filters for a bit until I get a big database.

I think his raise screams low/mid PP and assume he can fold. BB isn't super short though, so I have that working against me. If CO folds, he has 1700 left w/ BB at 1200, which isn't a great spot for him.

I think it's not very good, and also I don't think shorties stack is short enough for anyone to notice, not that anyone does anyways.

With the added info, I really think it's a coin flip(with your FE). I would err on the side of aggression in this situation and put it in. I agree, the BB should be pretty tight here.

I dont play the 16s, but I think you are usally getting called here and are pretty lucky if you arent drawing to 3 cards (unless its 77-88) ... As sippin said, i doubt hes aware of bb stack, and even if he was, once he posts his will be approx the same size, so that takes out the 'thinking player' argument I think. Another point on that thought process - what is a thinking player raising in this spot? I doubt its a range that A9o does well against. I would muck this
