Default 1 k post --------------> 1 k watch (contest: 100 to the winner)

There was a thread a few a weeks ago in which there was an argument over how many young online pros have 1 k watches. This thread sadly made me contemplate and realize i myself dont have a 1 k watch. Im 19 and live on a college campus so this is just completely unacceptable. So for my 1 k post i decided to host this contest and give a little back to the community to help me pick out my new watch. 100 dollars (on ftp or stars) will go to the person who can get me a direct link or post a pictures with instructions on where to buy the watch. The important thing tho is that the price has to be 1 k (plus or minus 100 bucks). And remember who your picking the watch out for, i like to be classy, but flashy at the same time.

just up your price to like 1200-2500 and get a nice tag:

$2500: http://astore.amazon.com/tag_heuer_w...319534-3999257

$2200: http://astore.amazon.com/tag_heuer_w...407282-8093223

$1500: http://astore.amazon.com/tag_heuer_w...407282-8093223

$1200: http://astore.amazon.com/tag_heuer_w...407282-8093223

I think you're looking for a brand that people will know and tag's gonna fit that well

With your price limit you are basically saying "Link me to a TAG Aquaracer" because, at that price, you aren't getting much else thats really a good watch. Your other choices would basically include the poor mans luxury watch, the Movado... and a few other second rate brands that flat out suck as far as a quality timepiece goes. You might be able to find something secondhand, like an Omega, but most of the really good watches hold their values well enough that your choices won't be that great.

If you really want a nice watch, triple your budget. $1k is hardly enough to buy something really nice.

If you just want to impress some girls on campus, Invicta makes a good selection of "mock" watches that look similar to the real designer ones they are modeled after. No 19 year old girl would know the difference. Or you could throw money away on something like an Armani or Gucci brand watch, which totally sucks as a watch but at least it has a brand name the girls would recognize.
