I think there was a straddle and a call or two before my raise, so the pot was $70-80, IIRC. I may have overbet a little but not by much.

so basically you minraised with KK after 2 limpers?

Ugh, I can't remember for sure what the preflop action was. Now that I think about it, I'm sure I would have bet more if there had been a straddle on.

So probably there was only $60 or so in the pot after preflop.

What I am sure about is that I bet the pot, or a little more than the pot, and that the reraise was 3x my bet.

Sorry I'm misremembering some of this.

okay, i prolly should stop taking these drugs. i swear i saw 994 :/.
anyways, with the flop being 944r, his hand looks a lot like 99. obv, there are hardly no 4s in his range. given your read, this also is a 9x rarely.

If you think that his range has very few 4's or 9's, why are you finding a fold so easily?

Stop and rethink the hand through. Create a range of possible holdings. Pokerstove it. Then adjust it according to the likelyhood (and less likelyhood) of certain holdings. Think of motives for BB raising vs. calling this flop. Take a deep breathe.....

If you know nothing of the villain, then i would sway a fold, cursing myself that i raised so little pre and opened myself to this problem.

Or...you can spend a stack and see what he is capable of.

Fold default with unknown.
