I think the Kh raises the flop most of the time, so i would be inclined to think he has a straight or a smaller flush or 2 pair and so i would 3bet the turn. Once capped make a crying call down. If he would fold to your 3bet with a flush/straight/2pair then maybe a 3bet isnt good, but him posting UTG+1 makes me think he is an idiot.

you played it well... although callin the turn raise would be ok too... chances of him having Ah and Kh are probably= and he could be on total air

I like the b 3-b given the possibility UTG+1 is a huge donk since he posted.

Vs. an unknown, a b 3-b should be right if you held 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on a T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] board. On the QJT9 there is a huge jump in card rank from the 2nd nut to the 4th nut (K -> 7) that all bad players spot and play weakly unless they are on a pure bluff (which is another argument for just calling the turn raise).

Savage,

How the hell are you bro? Haven't seen you in ages, hope things are well.

Call down on the turn once raise regardless of your top-chart hand. You have the 2nd nuts and it should be treated as so here given the action.

I'm doing allright except for trying to pass a kidney stone part.

Anyway, I think the situation on the turn is very different from a regular 2nd nut flush psychologically, because of the "but I have a nut flush" mentality. I wouldn't expect this opponent to raise and cap and then value bet the river with a one card queen high flush but the chance he might do so with an ace here is much greater. Calling down after turn raise felt way too weak and calling down after cap didn't feel great either. The truth probably lies somewhere in between, I wonder if I could've check/raised the turn and called down if 3bet.
Anyway, he showed an infamous UTG+1 post of AhAc and I dragged it.

Jeebus, it's been like two weeks. Just don't think of these words when you pee, "urethral tearing."

You probably lost 2 more big bets than necessary. 3-betting the turn and calling down a cap essentially offers villian 2:1 that he does not have the nuts after he raises the turn. Would you routinely 3-bet the bare Kh intending to call down a cap on a typical 4-flush board? That is essentially what you are doing here.

good luck.

The urethra is far and away the easy part. Once you get to the bladder you are home free. All you need to know is that Percocet is your friend. Take motrin also because even if you don't think it is helping, it is. When you are nice and drugged up, feel free to come sit in my games.
