27% Rakeback vs. 6% Bonus at FTP
My understanding is that you get 27% rakeback from FTP, while the bonus gives you 6% of the entire rake (including other players). So don't you need to be playing at least 5-handed (assuming you bet the same amount as everyone else) for the bonus to be higher than the rakeback?

Re: 27% Rakeback vs. 6% Bonus at FTP
On the RTR site, for FTP it says "The Bonuses are deducted from rake". What you're saying is that if the rake is more than the bonus, you get rakeback, so it can never hurt to have the bonus. Right?? Or am I still missing something? It just seems to me that the bonus is only bigger than the rakeback when there are more than 27/6 (i.e. 5 or more) players on the table.

If you play enough to clear the bonus, you still get some rackback back.

Re: 27% Rakeback vs. 6% Bonus at FTP
I think you're making a common mistake in your calculations. The bonus is deducted from your MGR (your total rake) NOT from your rakeback. If your bonus was greater than your MGR, that would mean your bonus was equivalent to more than 100% RB. Bonuses that size are extremely rare, so I think it's safe to say you will ALWAYS get some RB while clearing a bonus at FT. Well, maybe except for a month where you make lots of deposits, store pucrhases, etc.

Re: 27% Rakeback vs. 6% Bonus at FTP
Let me try an example. Say you play some 4-handed games that generate a total rake from the table of $100. That gives you a bonus $100*6%= $6. Your MGR is $100/4=$25. So your rakeback is ($25-$6)@27%=$5.13. Yes?

However, if your MGR is $25 and you cleared $6 bonus, then yes, the remainder is correct. So RB alone would get you $6.75, bonus alone would get you $6, but both together gives you $11.13. RB + Bonus > RB OR Bonus. Edit to add: I don't play FT regularly, so I wasn't sure about the rest of the numbers. Now that I check, I think your other numbers are accurate. The thing is, they don't particularly matter, as it isn't a choice of RB OR bonus. |

You need a link to RTR, the sponsor of this forum? I bet if you look REAL hard, you might be able to find one yourself...
