Freedom Tower: obvious Al Qaeda bulls eye, no?
Construction is ongoing on the site of the former World Trade Center to build an architectural masterpiece that highlights American resolve and steadfastness in the face of adversity. Personally I would have much preferred a non descript office building sans the fanfare, for the simple reason that every Allah loving wannabe will make it priority numero uno to make a splash and blow themselves up in the hopes that they will make a statement or otherwise hinder the Evil Satan. Be it run of the mill shootings, suicide bombings, piper cub kamikaze flights or an encore of 9/11, New York would have been better served with regular old office builings at the site of the WTC buildings. Are you volunteering to work on the 80th floor when the building opens? We should have swallowed our ego and been practical. Am I nuts thinking this way?
