Really? I like a roughly 3/4 bet on the flop then a turn overbet. Becasue I usually always make a roughly 2/3 - 3/4 bet on the flop, regardless of my hand.

It there a compelling reason to overbet this flop?

[/ QUOTE ]Sure, I'd actually overbet this quite often. I'd rather bet $2/$5/$14($21) than $1/$3.50/$10($14.50). I think an overbet on the turn shows more strength but lots of donks overbet the flop.

wicked smart -- so obv but something not enough people think about. (however in this situation i don't think it applies because you flop the nuts with a redraw/protection however in other cases, say a set, this idea of how small changes to your flop play can vastly increase profits on other streetS)

I don't understand...are you saying that since we have a redraw and don't need to protect as much that we don't want to build a pot with an overbet??? IMO you should be playing 67s exactly how you would play 55 here.

Perhaps sick of not hitting his gutshot straight flush draws. This is fine.

Since you have no reads, I dont think a check raise is warranted here. You may miss a street of value by doing so and having villians check through and you may give a free card to a better flsuh draw.

My comment was basically about not having won a big pot in a while, along with getting felted on 2nd and 3rd nut hands. That same day, I had an 88 hand where I raised preflop, flopped a boaton a KK8 board, got money in on every street (against two players), and got rivered when KJ hit a jack. I was just frustrated. lol

This was a few mins ago. I like overbetting the flop on hands like this as it will get money in better. Unforunately, I got pwned again. Toymach, THIS is what I'm tired of. lol end rant.
