Default Help me scam the scammer

I've never sold anything on craigslist before, and I'm wondering if I'm getting scammed here or not. I got stuck with one extra ps3 that I couldn't sell before christmas. Here is the first email I got from the potential buyer.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

I sent this person an email back saying I was a little uncomfortable sending this to Ireland without getting payment first, but would be willing to work something out. Now I just got this email back.

Looking at the first email closer, this is obviously a scam. That first email is a form letter. Sorry to waste your time guys.

Is there a good way I can scam the scammer here?

FWIW I have a ps3 that I have for myself that I could use the box from as a dummy box if we nead it.

when i got these when i was trying to sell a car, i always had them send the cashiers check/money orders to an address nearby. theyll have to pay a few bucks for shipping, and its a hassle for them. then say you didnt get them. then theyll do it again. then tell them to go [censored] themselves. they get really mad, but they cant do anything, and it only takes you like half a minute to make an email saying, "Sure, sounds great! my address is blabadiblah." in my opinion its the only feasible way to beat this scam.

OK OK, let's compromise.

I'll meet you in person to give you the cashier's check.

What is your name?
What is your phone number?
What is your postal code?

Good doing business with you!

I've bought and sold a lot of things on Craig's List and this is the only way to do it. Why would you ever trust anyone you've never met to send you that kind of money? Don't ever accept checks (in person or not, they can always stop pay after giving it to you, or there might not be any funds in the first place,) and if you are going to do it through the mail don't send the item out until you have a money order or cash in hand. Most buyers won't do this because then they are taking the risk, you could always just keep the money and the item. That combined with the fact that CL is local is why you almost always have to meet and why this guy is obviously a scammer. Think about it, would some guy from Ireland really be scanning local USA Craig's List ads to buy a PS3?
