Default Foxwoods ME Day 3 vs Rooooooothlus

2k/4k
Roothlus(80k) Limps UTG
Freddy Deeb folds, he's been playing ~60/40
I(100k) Limp w/ JJ in UTG+2
folds to blinds who complete and check
BB is frankie flowers

Flop is 854 two tone
check to roothlus who bets 15k
i raise to 42k
blinds fold
roothlus folds

he expressed extreme displeasure with my line, what do you think.

don't like it either. i'd much rather flat.

to add: if u hadn't shown that rooth folded, i would have thought he had a pretty big hand. im assuming u thought the same since u limped. but then on the flop you're basically turning your hand into a bluff. doesn't make much sense.

I don't think rooth is limping with that table to fold to a raise so I dunno why you didn't raise let freddy flat and him squeeze limpshove and snapcall

Raising, folding and calling all suck postflop. Does Foxwoods give a player any other options?

I think he has 99 here alot I guess. With that read I'd flat flop check behind turn and vbet river.

I thought I hated this but I really don't. I think roothlus is basically never getting out of line against our raise here, and from what I understand about frankie he is prob playing his hand straightforward as well, but will call with a ton of weird hands that have a fair number of outs if we just call and price him in. If there was ever a spot to raise (at least partly) "for information" this may be it.
