Very strange, suspicious e-mail about rakeback
I'm not really sure what to make of this, though the first paragraph screams out SCAM. Can anyone shed some light on this?
By the way, from what I can tell, the words in the to: line are Swedish for "unknown <consignee>" from Manken <manken@heavygrinders.nu> hide details Nov 5 (1 day ago) to obekant <mottagare> date Nov 5, 2007 10:00 AM subject New Poker/Rakeback deals... I just went through my e-mail list with poker contacts and found you. I don´t remember if we have had any contact before? But, anyhow, I thought you should get this info too!// However, my poker friends and I are tired of poker networks steeling abnormal amounts of rake. We are trying to gather as many poker players as possible, to be able to reduce the amount of rake that´s taken from us – just for playing poker online. We can now provide ourselves with up to 60 percent rakeback, on all the big networks, without an affiliate taking a huge piece of your cut. The bigger we get, the better is our chance to further decrease the rake.// I believe that focus should be on the rakeback percent and that´s where we´ll put in our biggest effort. Although, good support and good information will ensure that this is, without hesitation, the best rakeback community. And we are, of course, only cooperating with well known and secure poker sites. You can not share the information about this opportunity with third parties. You may, however, inform other people about me by referring them to me. Thus, to be able to get us the best rakeback possible, all correspondence concerning rake have to be confidential between you and me. I hope I have informed you properly with this e-mail. If you want to reduce the amount of rake that you lose or have any questions, please feel free to reply to this e-mail. Or add me on msn: manken@heavygrinders.nu I look forward to your involvement in reducing our rake as much as possible. I wish you a productive poker period. Regards Manken |

Re: Very strange, suspicious e-mail about rakeback
Here is my reply to original email (see above) and ?Mankin? reply.
If anyone has any advice here i would be grateful. Thanks Hi James! I see! TITN, that would be thisisthenuts, I guess? What RB do u get at UB?Im sure you get a good service and support, but I can guarantee you´ll get the best available service through us also. We only co-op with really really trusty sites, and we got a Lot of experience in dealing with sites. Both good and bad... So you will be in very good hands! What kind of poker do you grind? What limits?Have you tried the iPoker network? You get 40% RB there. Their range of tables are huge! Also, if you´re interested, we can get you a deal on a site through which you can play on both BOSS MEDIA, B2B and ONGAME networks, with the same bankroll. From the same site! And the deal you get is from the start, following: B2B - 60%, BOSS - 40%+, ONGAME - 40%+ If you got MSN, pls add me! Mush easier to speak there! Take care!Cheers! manken James said; Im interested.> Whats the plan? I currently rake about 2500MGR a month at UB through > TITN and i am very happy with their service and support - it will take > only a very good offer to tempt me to move elsewhere.> I have accounts at all the major networks already which is a small > problem though.> Please let me know |

If anyone has any advice here i would be grateful. [/ QUOTE ] I'd be getting his affiliate IDs and reporting him to each site. It's people like him, violating the T&C, that could hurt rakeback in this business. |
