AJ what do you think about this river bluff. villian is sonthing like 24/21 and can definatly loose call my 3bets.

i think my hand relay looks like AQ+. what wants him to give the chance to bluff on the turn and than makes a small value bet hopping to get called.

Your hand looks like AK and pairs like JJ or TT. The way you played the hand, you have to give up on the river. He probably checked on the turn with some thing like JJ or TT and may be with KQ.

It does look like AK or something a fair amount of the time but there is always the "he knows that I know it's a poor spot to bluff" etc, and this is a fairly stardard line for a big hand too. It's certainly something to do sometimes and, in a vacuum, doesn't seem a million miles away from neutral either way to me.

Sure, it's a good line to take some times, but think about opponent's hand ranges. He at least has a pair and JJ is calling, TT is obviously raising. Many opponents just call (thinking they would pay off with some thing like 99). Even AK might call. The bet size on the river is not going to do well against this opponent's range basically.

That said, if this fits into your other game plan well, it's ok I guess.
