Looks like we are going to throw together a last minute 4th of July party at Casa de Icons.

Ship it Holla Compound is slightly better suited for a gathering, but they're also like a billion times more Canadian than us.

Hopefully the SHBs and SHwannaBs (and the rest of important others) can make it.

this makes me so sad

I think I can safely speak for everyone and say we're all in, except possibly Devin, but he's Canadian anyway so who cares.

brag: ate a 150 dollar dinner with all of the HSNLers at "ni9e" (or w/e its called) at the palms

beat: vomited it up

variance: was one away from getting flipped on for the 500 dollar balance...me and jman are from the same state and our bank cards were next to each other, so after the draw i knew it was 1:1. ship jman getting stuck with it.

Would calculating $EVs using NE for the rest of the hands in a tourney be more accurate than ICM especially in high blind situations?

It would at least be interesting. But there is no such think as a unique NE in multiway situations, if I understood correctly.

it is indeed n9ne, and it's just yet another chicago restaurant you can go to in las vegas. not that there's anything wrong with that, and i might try to make it out to n9ne at the palms at some point this trip.

happy 4th of july everyone. more chicago stupidity: they do fourth of july fireworks on the 3rd, so that the police can have the 4th off, in some nonsense.

Well you could just start with doing NE for UTG then do it for UTG+1... and ignore the action behind UTG when he folds in the NE you did for UTG. Cos UTG's actual NE shove range is probly tighter than you get with SNGPT since it doesn't take the action behind into the calculations. Would that still be more accurate?

I was mostly wondering if everyone ends up playing 0-EV until the blinds are too high. But I guess the big stack on the bubble is in a situation where he will win even if the others are playing perfectly against him? Does that EV come from the middle stacks?
