With that said, I don't understand why someone who is in need of financial aid from unknown forum members is making 4 figure monetary bets with people they don't even know.

I certainly don't think it's a scam -- I do believe the poor guy's wife has cancer and he's having financial troubles.

I'm not crazy about him begging 2+2 to pay for his medical bills, but I don't think any action should be taken against him or anything (like banning, etc.). The guy's going through enough as it is.

This post kinda stinks to me. First, I have no clue how the guy didn't know what a COBRA is. Instead of playing a poker marathon and begging on the forums, he should be on the phone and talking to whoever he needs to to get the COBRA taken care of, end of problem. It sucks if this situation is true, but even if it is, begging for money on 2+2 should not be the response.

I felt the same way and that's why I edited out like 3 paragraphs about "please donate, here's my contact info, etc".

He has built up some credibility in bbv but I am still wary since he is making $500 prop bets while his wife has a terrible disease? wtf.
