1/2 live very deep, in position w/QQ, flop line check.
1/2 live, effective stacks are 900.
Villain is some old dude on a sick heater, and has some idea of how to play (opens a wider range in position, cont. bets, raising bad limpers, etc.) but doesn't understand relative hand strengths that well and peels too many flops light. I've been card dead for hours. Two limpers to villain in the CO who raises to 15, I call(?), first limper calls, second one folds. Flop come A8xr, checked to villain who bets 35, I...? Should I put in the PF 3b? Is the flop decision not particularly close? |

Re: 1/2 live very deep, in position w/QQ, flop line check.
Preflop advice changes drastically depending on whether you're in the blinds or on the button behind him. In the first case (blinds), you should be 3-betting almost always. In the case of playing the button, you can smoothcall his raise PF if you think it will just be heads up to the flop. Otherwise, you should still be 3-betting. As played on the flop, you can opt to call, but I generally wouldn't with the limper still to act. He's not going to put any more money into the pot with a hand you beat after the flop. Also, messing around on A-high flops with bad players generally leads to disaster in live games.

i think you should rr pf. he opens light in the CO, you guys are deep, he isnt really THAT great of a player and he peels light. yeah, stacks are deep, but i still RR pf here almost always.
given the way we got there, you can either call and c/f turn or just fold now. too many reverse implied odds to really go crazy here. |

Definitely reraise this PF. You said he has a wider range in LP, so make him pay.

Agree with reraise PF.
As played, I fold on the flop right away. |
