How has no one mentioned any of the Mega Man games? 2 and 3 were particularly awesome.

Dude I completely forgot Mega Man. Beating Mega Man III was a great moment in my young life. Awesome games.

yeah except when you lost to the final boss on level 6 and had to back to 6-1 grgrgrrgg tilt

basewars was awesome - anyone ever blow a guy up by hitting him with a pitch? freaking fabulous.

baseball simulator 1.000 was amazing, and of course tecmo super bowl

no love for mega man 1?

how about an obscure one - faxanadu? i'm not sure i ever beat this.

Yes, it was.

Funny Nintendo stuff:

There was a game called Bad Dudes, which was like a Double Dragon knock-off. At the beginning of the game some special agent calls up the Bad Dudes to send them on a mission and tell them that "Ninjas have captured the President."

Funniest ever line from a Nintendo game.

Edit: Didn't see this was already mentioned.

Did you all know that if you have men on first and third base in RBI that there is no way for the defense to prevent you from advancing the first-base runner to second?

pretty standard for early video games - i think bases loaded 3 had this bug, as well as tony larussa baseball 2 for the computer.

Also, if the computer actually manages to get a hit off you and grounds it into left field, just wait till he's advancing to 3rd base and pick up the ball and throw him out. For that matter, if he gets on base at all just hit B, go to the field, do an intentional error out to left field, repeat.

Tecmo Super Bowl is my favorite. I recently started playing it online and its taken it to another level of greatness.
