Re: Ridiculous x-games fall
Wow, his shoes go flying off on the end.
Was Fred Durst part of the medical staff helping him walk off? |

Re: Ridiculous x-games fall
Wow...He could have been seriously hurt, but that was a good fall. When it's in slow motion near the end of the video you can see his feet hit first, then he lands on his back...That's about the best you can hope for in that situation.

[/ QUOTE ] Also the fact that he hit where there was still a little curve really seemed to help redirect some of the impact laterally. I think it's much worse if he lands where it's totally flat. Look at how far he shoots horizontally when he hits. All that would have been absorbed by his body if he landed flat. When he comes off his board he is basically out in no man's land where no one should be. I like the idea of a foam barrier or something that will at least knock you back towards the vertical part of the ramp. Gotta be frustrating to be up in the air that high, safety in the vertical is just a few feet away, and there's nothing you can do to get to it. They need little emergency thrusters or something. Or maybe they could all get spidey shooters so they could pull themselves over. |

First, it'd need to actually bounce you back. Like the physics of it isn't making sense to me at this point. Second, what probably saved this kid's life, in addition to the little curve left on the ramp, was him controlling his body and landing feet first. Getting deflected midair is just a bigger recipe for disaster. |
