Are you expecting him to call with many hands? Given that this flop misses so much of your range, do you not think he might raise with air more than he would on a less dry board?

I think checking flop here is pretty standard, just because when you bet/fold here it takes away all value from your hand. You're rarely getting called by a better hand, so you basically have air.

depends on vilain i think he calls with more of his pp's and floats more on this type of flop ya, i dont think he necessarily raises this flop more often with air, he may....

IMO, waiting till the turn and then betting after he checks makes it a much more profitable value bet then just betting the flop, as he usually doesn't have much. That would be the main reason I'd check the flop here.

David,

This hand is based on Hand 2-4 in Collin's book, although it is not exactly the same. I don't really like the flop bet. It turns a decent hand into air.
