do i need Poker Tracker for this to work? (noob question but I have never used a spreadsheet before)

Poker Tracker is not necessary. You need Microsoft Excel. Open Office, which is free, might work. I've never used it though.

I use open office and the spreadsheet opened and is displayed perfectly. How do i load hands into it?

The spreadsheet tracks tournament results. At a minimum, enter the buy-in/payout information, the date, and the place of finish. Most of the stats will be able to compile with just that information.

Check out the Readme sheet for more info on use.

Try the main software page. I don't know how they're doing it but I can't always get there linking directly.

companion link works - the other spreadsheet isn't (says 'busy'). you can ship it to me as well slim if you want it hosted somewhere else.

I just tried to download both and they worked from the main software page. Is anyone else having problems with it right now or is it an on/off thing?
