This hand is a good example of allowing tunnel vision to destroy your tournament $EV.

You've overfocused on a single opponent in a single hand to the point where your assumed risk is extraordinarily out of proportion to a reasonable expectation for 88 OOP facing a raise.

Considering the appropriate risk for this hand in relation to the avg opps you will receive over the next orbit or so would have helped you avoid risking 27 Ms on a middle PP -- a cuckoo play no matter the context.

3-betting is pretty gross if you have to make this thread when he 4-bets. I don't know speciofically what his 4-bet range is here but I doubt it's as wide as you think. I'd just call preflop.

Call preflop.
FWIW it's hands like this that make players like Imper1um lots of money.
HE CAN HAVE ANY TWO PUT I CAN'T FOLD 88 TO HIM.

Would you call if Imperium reshoved all in instead of his min raise. It's pretty obvious he isn't folding to a 4 bet all in. I think Imperium isn't shoving to make his AK look stronger and if he had AA,KK,QQ, he would've just shoved all in pre as that looks like AK. I dont like 3 bet folding and I feel pretty strongly its coinflip here so I like stacking off against him.
