Default Ace baby in the blinds vs a maniac..... how to play?

You have a 20/15/3 image, and maniac is a classic 50/30/5. The table folds around.

Scenario A) You are in SB with A5o, action? Plan?
Scenario B) You are in BB with A5o and maniac raises to 4BB, plan?

I raise from the SB, and call from the BB, and in both cases I plan on letting the opponent bet for me if I hit an A. Maybe I'll make a small bet looking to get raised, something like that. But I'd imagine that somebody playing that many hands that stays that aggressive postflop is going to pay you off well if you do hit an A with a range that is considerably worse.

A) standard raise, fold to a 3-bet, c-bet most flops

B) call

Next question in response to your plan

A) You raise and c-bet a K 4 2r flop and are called. Do you c/f a blank turn? Do you fold to a flop raise?

B) You call the 4BB and then whiff the flop. Do you fold to his c-bet? with no pair no draw A high?

A) Raise
B) Fold

In response to question 2: If he calls my c-bet on a K42, I'm c/f any non-ace, non-3 turn. No point in fighting a maniac without a hand, which is also the reason why I fold in scenario B - also, where does maniac raise from? Not that it matters to me, but DonManuel said to call without knowing what position he raised from.

I fold both. I think it's a big leak playing Ax OOP against a maniac. And why in the earth should we ever defend w/ Ax?

I tend to agree, but an ace when I open the pot in SB is gonna be beating his range, but I don't like defending in scenario 2

How deep are we?

How many hands do we have to determine his PT stats?

How is the rest of the table responding to him (e.g., are they playing back at him or is it essentially one player shoving chips around while everyone else waits for their Aces to call him?).

What are the stakes?
