Default 9x9 beginners go

First player to say in plays against me. I suck, not sure where to play what to do etc...
So, ugh, help needed etc.

Make sure to get qGo so you can have a board to play on.

OK, in then [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. For an even game should the komi be different on a 9x9 board?

Heh, I don't know what a komi is and all I remember is the player who goes first has an advantage. So, we flip on who goes first?

Yeah, that's why the player who doesn't start usually gets x.5 point before the game starts (this way we can't draw also).

GNU has this set to 6.5 points no matter which board you choose. Makes sense maybe (bigger advantage to start on a smaller board, but less points to fight for, dunno?)
