Default Brag: Most improbable thing Ive ever done in poker.

$4.40 180-man

2nd hand of the tournament I busted, or so I thought... I lost all my chips but 10. Next hand I end up with 50, then quadroupled to 200, then doubled up, doubled again, and in 12 minutes, Im over 2200... My highest chip count in the tournament was 92K and I went on to finish 3rd..

I think this may be the most improbable thing I've ever seen, any idea what the ballpark odds of finishing top 3 after being at 10 chips is?

Actually it's 3:1, because either you finish first, second or third or you don't. Pretty simple math and very likely to happen 3/4 times.

You're actually more likely to win because your short term bad luck is all used up. Therefore you can only have good luck... so you're 3:1 in your favor.

The real question is, what are you going to spend all that money on that you won?

Real calculation:
You finished 3rd, and presumably you were around ~176th after second hand.
That means you were 176:3 to get there. Roughly 57:1
