I'd pay good money to see David Lee Roth front the Police instead of Sting.
I hate Sting, while David Lee Roth has stayed true to his original, if corn-ball self, and I think Eddie Van Halen has shown himself to be a douche to rival even Sting.

I'd go see them! I've seen David Lee Roth in concert twice and let me tell you - what a spectacle! Horrifying and yet somehow transfixing.
Never seen EVH. Is it true what they say? That he is a genius?

Some comedian who barely knows Eddie was on Stern this week. He also barely knows Lars from Metallica, but ran into him, and was hesitant to bother the guy with a conversation. Lars was cool as hell, and assured him that it's no bother at all.
Well then, the comic thought, maybe I should call Eddie? Maybe he'd be cool, too? He got Eddie's answering machine. The out-going message was, "Hi, this is Eddie. Leave a message--but if it's not important, then I don't give a [censored]." The comic left no message.

You guys dissing Van Halen because they're old, just look at the rolling stones. They're older than most bands out there and they are still going strong and put on better shows than most.
it's all about putting out a good show and Van Halen can do that.
