Default It\'s official: Global Warming is Here!

Looks like this first of a kind ground-breaking report is the smoking gun, or as one scientist says, "a batallion of intergalactic smoking missiles," that global warming is here. No joke.

Anyone familiar with global warming knows it's not only here, but it's been here fairly steady for the last 10,000 years.

There's no real dispute that global warming exists. The only question is how significant man made contributions are to it.

And whether or not it is a good thing. Historically, global warming has been good for life on earth, but this may not be the case for the future.

And the politics of the issue prevent people from having any real debate about it. Especially with known liars like Al Gore involved.

Yes, I know. I was being a smarta$$ because the post was titled "It's official: Global Warming is Here!" and went on to say the same thing.

I just think it's funny that there is so much talk about "global warming" and whether or not it exists. And claims that so many people, even many scientists supposedly don't believe global warming exists at all.

Scientists disagree about the extent of man's contribution to global warming, they don't disagree that global warming exists.

Yes, and due to the complexity and incompleteness of climate models it is very hard to estimate the extent of human contribution to global warming.

"Global Warming" is a term that refers specifically to man's involvement. This is where a lot of confusion on this subject lies. There's a scientific consensus that the Earth is getting hotter and lots of people confuse that with there being a consensus for Global Warming when it isn't.

Wacki pawned you for saying this the other day. Why bother to repeat such nonsence that there isnt a consensus over man made warming.
