NL2 - AK in BB vs. Calling station's Reraise

Villain is 50/9/1.5 and has called every single one of my raises after limping. This time he raised preflop so I decided to pop him and he re-raised me.

I just called the reraise because I'm not putting it all in with AK preflop. I think this is pretty standard. I'm also not folding to someone who plays 50% of their hands with AK...again, pretty standard.

I decided to shove because I am only beat by QQ+ and his range is so wide that I felt I was ahead in the hand. How's my line? I'm grateful for all your comments and criticism.

yea id probably push pf...whats your plan when flop is XXX and you have air???? Your gona be playin OOP which sucks and im guessin your gona c/f a whole lot. And say when you do hit your A/K and you fire. Villian now might fold like 99-QQ. And like AJ/AQ probably fold the Kxx flop. All these hands probably get AI pf tho which is a range we are ahead.

It sucks because you have pretty much 0 fe. However, you're one bet away from all in if you call and you'll miss the flop most of the time. So, when you call, you either get no action from QQ- when an A or K flops, or get stacked when you miss and bluff. If he's really loose and really aggressive and will stack off with worse aces after the flop you might just call pre. If he's a huuuge nit, you might find a borderline fold to his 3bet. I always play it straightforward and get it in pre.

you gotta shove preflop with AK when you're out of position, no question about it. playing AK oop on the defensive vs a decent player is a nightmare. AK has enough equity against pretty much anything (except AA) to make shoving good. It doesn't need fold equity, it has enough value on its own... especialy if the guy is as loose as you say. I don't think it's ever a good idea to fold AK preflop unless some guy 5bet pushes you and ur deepstacked with 100bb to go or he's pretty tight. just my two cents.

then again the guy's raising range is pretty tight so u might want to fold the AK when he 4bets. his calling range is 50% but his raising range is only 9% which means the guy is pretyt careful about his raises. just something to think about
