Your threads just give atheists an easy target to bash and feel better about their intellectual/logical "superiority".

[/ QUOTE ]
Hold on a second. I am an equal-opportunity basher. I go after stuff that seems illogical and/or false, it has nothing to do with theism. (Although theists usually step into these irrational buckets more readily.) If I posted something ridiculous I would expect to be bonked on the head and pointed in the right direction too.

[ QUOTE ]
Of course even as a theist i find a lot of your posts pretty ridiculous

[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly, it has nothing to do with theism vs. atheism. Pretty sure Nielsio is an atheist and I think his posts are mostly ridiculous too

Why would a Christian need to or even want to read an atheist work?

[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe to become familiar with their side of the argument? Hopefully you don't hold this view towards all secular books. That would be lol (and would explain a lot).

Splendour, a word of advice. You should probably read some more (both theist and atheist work) before posting on this forum.

To live in the 21th century and not have read Einstein, Dennett, Feynman, etc, seems amazing to me. To be in that state deliberately .. wow.
It makes the Luddites seem progressive.

To live in the 21st century & sit around reading a bunch of psychology books without something more constructive to do is amazing to me....

Thanks Brad...I guess I am trying to understand what makes an agnostic/atheist tick...I suspect some of it is grounded in personality/experience...While trying to find an article that addresses this I came across this....

http://www.xtremexa.org/resources/No...godmadeyou.htm

I am not endorsing this article it just gives a lot more to think about...

You're welcome. I was in the same boat too once upon a time but woke up & realized that, with a couple of exceptions, most of the posters in SMP are card carrying members of the Christ bashing club. Either you are with them or you get the forementioned curt & snippy treatment.

Look at the overcoming bias section though the whole thing is pretty deep....

This could not be further from the truth and I challenge you to prove that it is even remotely true. I imagine it frustrates you to not be able to participate in a meaningful way, but lying isn't going to get the job done.

I'm not lying & you know it. The truth hurts doesn't it.

So you're telling me there is no Christian bashing on SMP??
