it's not like she is going to be running around talking [censored] and flashing her [censored]. the girl isn't very pretty and probably lacks a lot of confidence outside of poker. tony g isnt really an attention whore he is just being himself. and whoever said this is as big as moneymaker is the biggest retard in the world. this is like saying maxim would dominate the 75-90 demographic if they advertised to them more. moneymaker started the boom because he was an all-american hick from nowhere tennessee. now every white trash human being from the south thinks they got a shot at making it big. they see it as a second lottery and lose all their money playing, funding the poker world, that is the real moneymaker effect. who does annette appeal to? 16 year old girls? right thats really pokers next big demographic, teen girls. she will do almost next to nothing for the poker world as a whole, maybe just bring some "justice" to online players proving they can best a great field of pros. as we all know this isn't really the case as she is one of the biggest luckboxes i have ever played with.

Moneymaker proved it was possible for a normal guy to win a huge poker tournament and overnight go from being in pretty bad debt to being a millionaire.

Annette will be good as an abassador not because she 'represents' the 16 year old girl demographic, but because she is young, European and by all reports a geniunely nice person who has proven over time to be a really good player.

The big frontier for poker is development in the European countries, especially in Eastern Europe.

Showing some 18 year old girl win a million pound playing poker is a pretty good marketing tool, even if it is mainly Betfair who will get to push this.

And yeah, she got lucky, who has never gotton lucky in a poker tourney when they went deep?

point take. i just don't think europe has the wealth through and through that america does and i think people is generally pretty frowned upon by higher society there. it is in many old money circles here as well, thats why new york city doesnt have big cash games among non-poker pros like LA does. europe also is comprised of far more old money than new money and old money frowns upon gambling. america is such a gambling, high risk/high reward loving society and i think that we really need to keep getting more and more good publicity in america, but having annette win will get more publicity than tabatabai which is good. i just dont want her to win because she doesnt deserve to, a good story never-the-less.
