Duncan will probably hit 22 this year, imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

He hit 22 last season and only played in 90 games....kinda similar to Ryan Howards numbers from 05.

This is a north side of Chicago pool, so almost everyone will have D lee. I happen to be a White Sox fan, so picking a Cardinal is more my style.

[/ QUOTE ]

Isn't the idea to win. Do you really think Duncan is going to hit more than Lee?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he has a shot...and if everyone else has Lee...and I pick him too I have nothing to gain in that slot.

bobby abreu, playing a full season w/ the short porch in YS
todd helton is reportedly swinging the bat well, has a decent shot to bounce back
mike piazza is probably gonna get 200 more ab's as a full time dh than he did as a c/1b last year

The way Yankee OFs have gone down lately...Im wary of Bobby.

helton is gettin up in age... as is Piazza...I think duncan could explode to 45 or 50 this year...helton is 4-5 years removed from those numbers.

Thanks for the ideas...just my thoughts on the choices.

Sorry forgot to mention...but you probably can figure it out that most HRs wins...payout as many spots as you like.

we also have a small payout for 123 spots at all star break

Todd Helton definitely.

Edit to add Chad Tracy or Connor Jackson.

For the NL, Luke Scott would be a solid choice. He came up late last season and tore it up. He had 10 home runs last year. He'll be the starting RF this year. Wouldn't be suprised to see +30 homers from him this season.

My team:

Ryan Howard
Lance Berkaman
Andruw Jones
Adam Dunn
ARod
Manny
Texiera
Carlos Lee
Prince Fielder
Vernon Wells
Miggy Cabrera
David Wright
Miggy Tejada
Adrian Gonzalez
Derrek Lee
Hidecki Matsui

Dunn over Hafner and Manny over Konerko were my toughest picks.

You have nothing to gain by picking Lee, but you have a lot to lose by not taking him. If you think you're better at this than most of the guys in your pool and they're all taking Lee, you should probably take Lee then rely on your other picks to get you through. If you think you're worse, take Duncan and hope he hits 40.

Duncan still won't be playing against lefties - to whoever suggested reyes, stop being such a homer as you embarass mets fans everywhere. Helton is a great choice in the sub-23 category as he gained 30 lbs of reported muscle this offseason. But picking Duncan over Lee would be a total travesty.

James

Also, Luke Scott LOL.
