Atlas Shrugged Movie
I read a year or two back that the novel Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand would be made into a movie. (likely a trilogy because of the length of the book.)
Anyone know the status of this project? Who is John Galt?

That would have to be a movie made for children and young adolescents with a romantic view of life, surely. I don't think the audience would justify the cost. OTOH, they could make it into a satire or comedy. That would definitely work better than the book!

The book ranked number two after the bible as the most influntial book in the US. I did a bit of looking, it looks like Angelina Jolie is cast as Dagny Taggert.I think it would be a financial success. I doubt however the philosophy of Rands could fully be transferred to the film.
