Default Small Stakes in San Jose, CA

Does anybody have any experience playing at Bay 101 or Garden City in San Jose, CA? I'm new to the area and I can't figure out the 6/12 game there. I would play the 3/6 game, but the rake is 4 dollars plus tip.

Has anyone played the 8/16 game?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you elaborate on the "can't figure out the $6/12 game" statement? I think figuring it out goes something like this:

1. Bet/raise solid made hands & draws for value
2. Punish donkeys for doing the opposite
3. Profit

When you have 15 people seeing every flop, a capped rake becomes less of an issue...

8/16 at GC can get a little nuts. The majority of the players are usually coming down from 20/40 to let off some steam. It's not uncommon to see 5+ players call multiple bets on the river. Too much variance for me personally.

You get SOME fish at the 6/12 games but not so many that you expect SOMEONE to catch every time.
