Default PRTY.L

I read the deadline for the US to agree on an amount to pay the WTO is October 22nd. What was interesting to me was according to this article

http://www.reuters.com/article/marke...p;pageNumber=2

it said the US offer to date was "insufficent", which I would assume means the US is willing to pay? Do you think the price will change on substantially October 22nd depending on what the US does? It seems that as soon as money starts coming out of the US to pay for this stuff (even if it is a relatively small settlement) the BS morality arguements Frist and company made will somehow seem less significant.

Also is there any news on the outlook of the Asian market? What is preventing poker companies from marketing to Asia, seems like a continent full of Gamblers that will follow large corporation(s) if they market correctly. Is there any news about PartyPoker or companies planing to expand into Asia?

Also, anyone know how to trade foreign stock as a US citizen (my US fidelity account is not making it easy).

I don't know about this but I'd also like to here of any news. I've lived in Asia for a long time and these guys love a flutter. I imagine Macau's interests will outweigh the online casinos' interests as LV undoubtedly has.

Lots of US citizens post about this issue. I'm surprised it's such a hassle to trade foreign stock for Americans...

Party Poker pulled out of almost every Asian country even when all the players in these countries are from the West. I would say there is currently ZERO possibility of Party expanding to Asia.
