turd,

vvn, well-thought out post. I will have to not stereotype people with handles like 'Turd Ferguson' from now on.

[/ QUOTE ]

yw. the sheer volume of people who kept missing the logic train going by were starting to make little pieces of my brain disintegrate, so I had to put on my lawyer hat and rant. hope it helped.

nath, I'm starting to get the sense that you are pretty trollable You shouldn't make it so easy for them.

yawn, are we still arguing about this?

Nath, stop feeding the trolls, d00

Dammit, you're right. I just... ugh. I can never help myself. I mean, the guy is being this obtuse on purpose, right? There's no other explanation, unless he just has a hole in his brain that renders him unable to connect this specific set of circumstances.

[/ QUOTE ]

The last time I heard the word obtuse was in The Shawhank Redemption.

very good movie IMO

To the tune of Genesis' "Land of Confusion"

I must've dreamed of BBV,
paged up and down a million screens,
but I can hear the HIV.
He’s challenging Gildwulf to match #3.

Now did you read the site today?
They’re all down at the PCA
but I can see the hookah's still alight
burning into the night.

The room’s got too many men
too many people
giving too much advice,
and not much muff to go round.
Can't you see
this is a land of collusion.

This is the world we live in (woah)
and these are the hands we're given. (woah)
Use them and let's start trying (woah)
To make it a 10K freezeout win.

Superfluous Man, where are you now? (I can’t parody a song half as well as you can)
When everything's gone wrong somehow...
the wcp’s, the men of power
are losing $$$ by the hour.

11PM’s the time
Table Pony’s the place
so we look for the spewage,
with shaun and tongni hanging around
tell me why, this is a land of collusion.

This is the world we live in (woah)
and these are the hands we're given. (woah)
Use them and let's start trying (woah)
To make it a 10K freezeout win.

I remember long ago-
Ooh when the sun was shining
PokerStars was bright,
all through the night
and the sound of Nath’s laughter
as Gild held him tight
so long ago...

They won't be going out tonight
these stand-up men will put it right.
They're not just making promises
that they know they'll never keep. (SIKE)

This is the end.
There'll be no more freezeouts.
HIV’s nearly busto.
And with Shaun and tongni not around,
the Caribbean’s
no more a land of collusion.

Stop reading, go play some limit. (woah)
Here, these are the hands you start with (woah)
Bet them and don’t start folding (woah)
it don’t matter what you’re holding now.

This is the world we live in (woah)
and these are the handles we're given. (woah)
Switch them and let's start pwning (woah)
just like my man Patrik Antonius.

3, The TnC of the site has no bearing on the match. Hiv and Gild predetermined the guidelines and agreed to them! He didn't agree to play tongni, in any regard. What part is so hard to understand?

[ QUOTE ]
Really? I haven't seen this stated thusfar. All I've seen is HIV says "Hey want to play me HU for 10K" GW says "OK" and they play. Had GW taken due diligence and stated, prior to the match, that no other player was to provide any input on his play then I would agree with you.

Grifter, Ok, I figured this was what you were getting at.

Apologies if this has already been addressed. (EDIT: Duh, Fnord Too covered this in the very next post. Nice post.)

One of the lawyers would be better suited for this, but it's my understanding (EVERYBODY understands this doesn't mean legally binding, in this instance of offshore poker rooms) that saying what you quoted, 'Do you want to PLAY ME..' implicitly states that Jonothan Drane will be the opponent.

I mean, come on. Everybody knows what a freezeout means. When one is offered you don't have to spell out every little nuance to ensure a freezeout format will be honored. There are things that are implied, and things that aren't, but this is one that is largely implied.
