Default stars 200NL - weird spot with 999

villain is el_pedrin0 i know he's a 2p2er but i forgot who. i have him 23/18 and def respect his play...seen him make some sick calls. i have been running about 25/20.

we've played a lot of pots together and vs. him my betting range is so big on this turn and river i didn't think twice about valuebetting the river.

he shoved the river pretty quick and it's not likely, but i think there's a chance he'd valueshove 2 pair and there's so much in the pot i felt like i had to call. looking back i probably should have either bet/folded ~$60 or shoved.

Sucks if his double gutter got there but I don't see how this can be played any differently.

he surely isn't value shoving 2 pair here, after you have bet every street, even tho the flush hit. imo he has at least a straight, or air, but a flush is the most likely hand i think.

Betting is better, but can you elaborate a bit on why c/c is so bad? Are we afraid hands like KQ, A9 will check behind here?
