I've been real busy with school/poker lately, havn't been able to get around to this much. After this week everything should be much easier, though me and Hoya still havn't been able to connect for our matches, which is weird.

One thing you might check: run a XBL connection diagnostic and check your NAT setting (both of you should do so). If either of you are showing a Strict or Moderate NAT setting, that may preclude the two of you from connecting while still allowing you to use certain XBL features. I've had this problem a couple times, and solved it by turning on UPnP on my router.
