Villain here is 44/8 over 25 hands.

What is my flop line? b/f, b/c, c/f, c/c? Is preflop ok?

I usually b/f, but if villian is a shortstacks who splashes around a lot, I will c/c sometimes too bc it lets him shove AJ when he sees weakness whereas he might fold if we bet.
I usually raise a little more preflop b/c we're OOP so I make it pot+1 BB

b/f is so, so, so bad. Even if we put him on an overpair a big % of the time we have odds to call.

I don't know the general thought process of this guy, but I could easily see him having a medium pocket pair here that planned on getting it in as long as no A or K hit the board.
