Yeah, you're right... the mdeia would jump all over their golden boy. Must be nice living in that dreamland.

[/ QUOTE ]
you still have yet to back up your bold statement with any facts.

but keep backpeddling, you are doing a fantastic job of that.

they showed what, 4 replays on the live broadcast before the kick? how many times do you think the crew in the booth had time to check it, with probably six TV's, one for each camera, and surely at least a couple different guys watching?

[/ QUOTE ]

But the guy always comes out and say "there will be a booth review" or something. They always say that.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, if the booth decides a play is reviewable they don't actually review it. The referee still does the review, they just tell him to take a look.

you're right, i didn't know that coaches can't challenge inside 2 minutes, but i am at least not so blind and deaf that i still think the issue was that his KNEE didn't get in. after the announcers talked about it twice and the replay clearly showed him dragging his foot.

lol at the 'mike vanderjaqt liquoured up kicker award' halftime show. gold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Forgetting for a second the stubborn ones that were still arguing the "knee" thing when it was shown that both feet were in bounds, you really don't believe that the play was warranted for a review? After admitting that it took some replays to actually confirm if he made the catch inbounds? In a situation where the opposing coach doesn't even have the option to challenge himself?

I'm not saying it wasn't a TD but its [censored] that wasn't reviewed.

[/ QUOTE ]

I may be wrong, but I bet the play WAS reviewed. It's just that the booth saw conclusive evidence before the PAT, so there was no need to stop play.

[/ QUOTE ]

that's what I figured as well, but it's way too obvious an answer. Clearly something wicked is going on here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Estimated time from TD to PAT? Thats pretty quick, but it is certainly possible. Wouldnt want to take a minute to be sure?

[/ QUOTE ]

About 30 seconds ?

[/ QUOTE ]

There was a flag on the play. Whatever fuels your fire, though.

[/ QUOTE ]

How long do you think it was? I rewound and counted.

Whatever fuels your persecution complex though.

[/ QUOTE ]

haha.. relax dude. No persecution complex here. I'm not even that big of a Pats fan. I just don't see what's worth getting all that worked up about.

to answer your question, if I had to guess the time between the ref signalling catch and the PAT, I'd say about 1:15.

yeah, when they don't have enough time to check it before the next play. how do you suppose they decide whether to initiate that review or not? my guess is, it involves looking at some footage.

really going out on a limb here but that's my guess.

[ QUOTE ]

A hundred times? It was certainly less than a minute from the actual catch until the PAT.

[/ QUOTE ]

Good thing for DVRs. It was 22 seconds from the catch to the Ref going on the mic. It was 56 seconds from the catch to the PAT snap.
