I'm sure you'll enjoy the water and refreshing smells outside the plastics factories. Oh wait, you can't swim there because the local waterways are deemed too hazardous for humans due to toxicity levels. Yet nobody can prove which factory has done what over the years.

How about all the plastic products you use? You are driving the demand for that pollution, should I be able to stop you from using plastic? Should I be able to stop you from consuming anything if I can show how all your consupmtion harms the environment in some way? In the case of the polluted lake, laws were most likely violated and violaters should have been punished. The system isn't perfect. The governmental body with juristiction over that lake let you down.
