I like leading in both scenarios and folding to more action. I think its worth it to bet one time in a limped pot to find out if your top pair is good.

Re: Q7(2 hands) NL25 sooo standard right?
The second hand is reasonable.. but if you're going to complete in the SB, and you flop top pair, what are you waiting for? If you're going to fold that every time, then I wouldn't play this junk in the first place when you're going to be oop throughout the hand and you need tons of help. Plus, when you do flop a monster, you will have a hard time getting paid off oop, and it will rarely be the nuts.

I lead these most of the time too. I'm curious what you guys use as a standard line for the turn though after doing so. It's a hard spot after getting called. I think I usually c/f to really passive people, and bet/fold against normal people.

[/ QUOTE ] Assuming the turn is a brick, and I only got one caller on the flop, I would usually b/f the turn, I really feel like I am repping 2 pair when I lead out like this on these type flops, so I might as well keep up the representation. If I don't improve by the river i would usually give up and c/f the river. |

Re: Q7(2 hands) NL25 sooo standard right?
I can't help feeling that leading out, in the first hand in particular is just spewing chips. We may well have the best hand but into 5 opponents its unlikely to be ahead at a showdown. If called we are OOP for the rest of the hand and have no idea where we are.
I believe c/f is the best line which begs the question as to why bother completing in the first place. On hand 2, we have just 3 opponents so leading makes more sense but I still feel a good aggressive player could easily take you off the hand using position. |

I lead both and evaluate who the callers are on the turn, usually slowing down quite considerably.
