Default 3/6 live

9 handed, your average loose passive 3/6 live game. I have had a run of bad luck and I am stuck a bit of money. A4o has literally won the last 4 pots in a row and I say out loud. "Ok, if I get A4 I will play it." Two early limpers, and I am in Middle Position, and look down at 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I laugh out loud and say "ok, Ill play it." I limp and there is one late position raise(loose Passive Passive). Blinds and limpers all call.

Flop:
A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Everyone laughs and checks to me, I bet. Late position raiser calls. Everyone else folds

Turn:
4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Everyone laughs again, I bet. The raiser thinks for a long time, (giving a good holywood act) I know now he has an Ace, Probably AK and I will be done with this pot. He calls.

River 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Nice, I bet out one more time. He raises me instantly. Hero????

AQ, and QQ beats me those are a high possibility, and of course the dreaded A4 beats me. and the last remaining A7.

You should just check fold the flop... and then again on the turn.

Preflop is good. River is close between calling and raising/calling. Don't fold.

My experience in 3/6 B&M is when a passive, passive raises on the river, he has a very strong hand. I would call here. What ever you do, don't fold for one bet.

I assume the turn bet was a bluff attempt, because you should have check/folded the turn.

fold the turn pound the river since youre there. if you dont think its good on the river then it makes your call on the turn that much worse

Against the type of player you described I would just call. You say he is very passive. These types dont raise the river without the nuts or second nuts. Against a average nad more aggressive player Im 3 beting here.

Yes the turn bet was mostly a bluff... I was going off the fact that the entire table thought I had A4. I was completely done with the hand after the turn until that 7 came off.

so a loose super-passive raises pf and calls on such a scary flop and alarm bells don't start going off? you could probably show the LPP your A4 and he would call down with KK(if he had it).

when he raises the river i think you see QQ alot. just call. only exception being if he's capable of some stupid slowplay with AK(and he isn't good at reading cards beyond his own two) AND he won't raise AQ pf. alot of players his type don't raise AK(hell, even QQ) pf either so alot of the correct river play depends on his exact tendencies.

c/f the flop, btw. if you peel the flop, c/f the turn.

Raise PF especially if the limpers are bad. I call for one more, but why are you trying to represent A4? Is anyone really that stupid as to think that's what you actually have? I think you're toast here almost always, but I call just for information.

I disagree with this in general but OP should definately not be doing it because of his skill level.
