And now, for your viewing and voting pleasure, a new game, positioned halfway between the Miss POG Contest and Sheep. Here's how it works:

I'm sure many of you have heard of "HotOrNot," a website where you can post a (fully dressed) photo of yourself, and have it shown to random visitors to the site, each of whom gives you a rating from 1 to 10. If you rate others' photos, you are told what that person's rating is after you've voted. It can make for an interesting bit of psychology to ponder how the consensus ratings are different from your personal ratings.

Below are twelve photos of women from the HotOrNot web site. Your task is to guess what each person's average rating on HotOrNot was. (Note: NOT to rate them honestly yourself. NOT to guess what rating the average pogger will give them. To guess the rating the average horny net geek has given them.) Submit your scores in a PM to me, in the usual sheep fashion, one answer to a line.

Reveal will be Monday afternoon, so that poggers who don't log in over the weekend can still play.

SCORING: Your score for each picture will be INT(100/(1+(your rating - actual rating)^2)). In other words: if you guess someone's rating exactly, you get 100 points, and to score well, you need to be within 1 of the correct rating. For example, if a girl's actual average rating is 7.0 (ratings are reported to the nearest tenth), then:

If you say 7.0, you get 100 points
If you say 6.9 or 7.1, you get 99 points
If you say 6.8 or 7.2, you get 96 points
If you say 6.5 or 7.5, you get 80 points
If you say 6.0 or 8.0, you get 50 points
If you say 5.0 or 9.0, you get 20 points
If you say 4, you get 10 points
If you say 3, you get 5 points
If you say 2, you get 3 points
If you say 1, you get 2 points

The fine print:

1) I did not do any picking and choosing. I took the first 12 girls who had received more than 500 votes each (enough votes to give some confidence that their average ratings have stabilized to within 1 of where they belong.)

2) The site tends to be fairly generous in its ratings. It is fair to go to the site and look at a few pics to get a feel of how the ratings run to familiarize yourself. It is NOT fair to go to the site and prowl through thousands of pics hoping to hit one of the twelve I've posted and copy the rating.

3) No, I don't know any of the girls, and no, I won't give you a link to their "meet me" page on hotornot. (I did not save the links to any of their pages - just copied down their scores and saved the pics.)
